About Dalourny

I am a public defender and community advocate whose journey reflects the struggles and resilience of so many Bronx families. The proud daughter of Haitian immigrants, I was raised by people who taught me that justice isn’t given, it’s demanded, organized for, and earned through collective strength. The Bronx has been my home for over a decade, the place that shaped my purpose, grounded my values, and fueled my commitment to fight for dignity and opportunity for all.

For more than ten years, I’ve stood on the frontlines of justice as a public defender, first standing up for parents in the child-welfare system, and now defending individuals in state criminal court. Beyond the courtroom, I serve as Chair of the Policy and Legislation Committee of Bronx Community Board 1, working hand in hand with neighbors and local organizers to turn our community’s priorities into action.

The Bronx deserves leadership that fights with and for the people, leadership that delivers real change, not empty promises. I’m running for Congress to build a government that finally works for working people: one that protects renters, invests in public housing and care, expands healthcare access, and ensures every family can live with safety and dignity.

Together, we can build a people-powered movement to transform the Bronx, from a symbol of struggle into a model of what’s possible when working people lead. The Bronx belongs to the people, and it’s time our leadership reflected that truth.
